Stay; dog friendly holidays
We know how much it matters to you to have a dog friendly holiday. Here at Mill Cross Retreats, we love doggies -ours is Juno, a working cocker spaniel & we are pleased to welcome dogs to The Oystercatcher with the following asks;
We welcome one small/medium well behaved dog (occasionally two)-preferably crate trained. If you are bringing your dog (by prior arrangement only) we ask three golden rules are followed to protect our property & keep it looking great for future guests. These are;
1) please don’t leave your dog unnatended. Most places around us including the pub are dog friendly.
2) please don’t let your dog on the sofa or in the bedroom
3) please keep your dog on a lead at all times outside. We have roaming chickens as well as other (non-roaming) livestock and we want to avoid any disasters. We have a spike you can borrow to tether your dog, if needed.
If you are happy with our asks, please contact Emma ahead of your booking to confirm. We charge £45 per stay (£50 for two dogs) , payable on arrival.
We have open land you can exercise your dog on & we are adjacent to a really large field-perfect for a run around. There are great walks nearby too, including lovely dog friendly beaches within half an hour- perfect for strolls, swims and fun & of course, with Dartmoor on our doorstep, 365 sqm of walks await. The cottage has walking guides & maps and as keen walkers & dog owners, we can give you expert tips depending on your preferences.
Our local pub is dog friendly- for this & plenty more dog friendly walks with pubs, please visit our blogs.
